Sydney was yard conductor for the Norfolk & Western RR, in the service of which he spent a good deal of his life. He was killed at Idlewild, a suburb of Cincinnatti, Ohio on the 27th of Aug, 1906, whilst engaged in directing the shinting of cars, making up a train. He was to have been married a month later to Miss Emma Allison near Graham Forge in Wyath Co., VA. |
