Thomas Jordan, grandfather of Crockett I., came to America in the British army sent over to keep the colonies in subjection. After the war was inaugurated, he was made prisoner by the Continental army, and when paroled chose to settle down as an American citizen rather than return to England. He married and made his home in Botetourt county, Virginia. ![]() Thomas married. |
