On September 7, 1794, Col. Nicholas Cabell's daughter Hannah died, and on the next day, his daughter Henning­ham. Their funeral sermon was preached by the Rev. Charles O'Neal, who had previously resided in the family of Col. Cabell, and taught a classical school near by.
